Walletbank — Banking made more manageable

WalletBank is a digital banking platform designed to help users manage their money, automate savings, and stay in control of their finances.

My role: UX/UI DESIGN · DESIGN SYSTEM · USER FLOWS · PROTOTYPING · USABILITY TESTING

THE PROBLEMS & SOLUTIONS

Balance visibility & privacy. Users needed a clearer view of how much money they could spend and how much they had saved. The design focused on making balances and savings goals easier to understand and manage.

Solution.

I redesigned the account overview to distinguish between the total balance and the money available to spend, while keeping essential actions accessible from the main screen.

Saving transaction history. Users wanted to track the money moving in and out of their savings accounts. Without clear transaction details, they found it harder to monitor their progress and feel in control of their savings.

Solution.

I gave each savings wallet its own transaction history and added options to customise spending and schedule incoming payments, allowing users to manage their savings goals more independently.

DESIGN SYSTEM

The design system was a strategic component of the project. The app required users to quickly identify where to check, transfer, or save money, so visual consistency had to facilitate learning and reduce uncertainty.

The identity was built around a palette of vibrant greens that broke with the usual conventions of digital banking. The goal was not to stand out through aesthetics, but to create a recognizable brand that conveyed calm, control, and trust.

TESTING & ITERATION

I tested the mid-fidelity prototype with four users. Their tasks included downloading recent card transactions, creating a wallet, and editing its name.

The tests revealed that some calls to action were too far from the relevant content and that quick-access buttons were easy to overlook. I used this feedback to refine the prototype before developing the high-fidelity version.

The final prototype included the essential MVP screens, covering ideal, partial, loading, empty, and error states.

FINAL DESIGN

The final experience brings account balances, cards, transactions, transfers, and savings wallets into one interface. The landing page provides quick access to essential actions, while each wallet offers its own transaction history and spending controls.

The project also included desktop and tablet versions of the landing page, plus a loading animation integrated as a GIF.
